Dr. Schaeffer is an alumnus of the Department of Physical Therapy at Hardin-Simmons University, receiving a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2000 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005. She had previously received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hardin-Simmons University with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. Beth has since furthered her education in getting certified in vestibular rehabilitation in 2010.
She worked at West Texas Rehabilitation Center (non-profit) where she focused on vestibular and balance, working with patients in a pool setting, as well as seeing patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. Beth joined the PT team at Hardin-Simmons University in August 2018 as the Director of Clinical Education. She continues to guest lecture and assist in courses in the PT department.
She is married to Jimmy and has two kids, Lauren (12th grade) and Jared (9th grade). Beth is involved in church activities including director of nursery (0-2 years), leader in AWANA kid’s program, and a member of the missions team. She volunteers her time with being a captain in Junior Team Tennis, Stroke Support Group at WTRC, and fundraisers for WTRC (telethon, clay shoot, dinner show). She enjoys traveling, camping, working out, and being involved in all her kids’ activities.
